MOGGA EMMANUEL
Mogga is an Associate Advocate with the Firm. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University School of Law. He was awarded a Post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Center, Kampala.
Mogga is a self motivated and ethical lawyer whose vision path is to promote access to justice for all, rule of law and development of jurisprudence in South Sudan and the region.
Mogga interned with Iragaba, Lukwago & Co. Advocates. While at this Firm, his duties involved drafting Legal Memorandums for cases under Criminal law, Land disputes, family disputes and contractual disputes.
Mogga specializes in corporate and commercial matters with a considerable experience in Tax Law, Labour Law and insurance. As a former Insurance Loss Adjustor/Investigator, Mogga’s achievements were; investigating insurance claims, advising insurance companies on liabilities under various life and non-life policies and advising clients on risk identification, assessment and risk treatment.
Mogga has strong hands-on experience in handling employment related matters. He has successfully negotiated settlement of complaints during arbitration before the Labour Commission. He continues to provide technical support to both companies and Non-Governmental Organizations to integrate the best human resource practices under the Laws of South Sudan.
His current assignments involve providing legal advisory services to local and foreign clients in the areas of South Sudan’s Labour Laws, Tax laws and policies, insurance and Investment Law.
In the Banking and finance docket, he has represented a major corporate client before the High Court in a debt recovery claim worth USD1.5Million. He has also successfully provided technical assistance to insurance companies in regard to handling complex insurance claims in the Republic of South Sudan.
